Global climate change and increasing lack of resources demands that we take responsibility, so that our activities' negative impact on climate and the environment is reduced. As a university and as a role model, UCPH wishes to lead the way when it comes to realizing and implementing environmentally conscious operation and behavior. With “Green Campus 2020: A Strategy for Resource Efficiency and Sustainability” the University has taken a big step towards meeting new environmental goals, including specific targets for energy and CO2 reductions.

New IARU Sustainability Report on the SDGs
The IARU Sustainability Initiative has produced a new report on the program hosted by IARU during the Annual Conference of the International Sustainable Campus Network, in which UCPH took part. Highlighted is the role of academia in advancing the SDG's.
